The Toronto Worldwide Short Film Festival Toronto is famous for its big, international film festival - and the Toronto Worldwide Short Film Festival is clearly dwarfed by comparison. Taxi created two 30-second short films to demonstrate that a short film can have as much impact as a full-length feature. Each used real footage of two world-changing events: Tiananmen Square and the assassination of JFK. Newspaper and transit ads told a story in mock scripts that were only a few words long and written on small objects: a matchbook; a butcher shop display; a stamp; a sheet of toilet paper; and a gum wrapper. Festival attendance increased by 10%.
