NIKE

As part of its holiday 2003 "Light It Up" campaign, Nike Canada launched a series of hockey television ads starring Ilya Kovalchuk and Markus Naslund, two of the NHL's hottest stars, demonstrating their hockey moves.

The media campaign also included a series of out-of-home executions, including OMG recycle bins and billboard ads that featured a "lonely talking net" aimed at challenging Canada's young hockey players to use their offensive skills. Nike Canada inspired today's kids to play the game of hockey with more energy, flair and skill - that's what the "Light It Up" campaign was all about. In fact, kids were so receptive to the television spot that it was downloaded 22,346 times at nikehockey.ca.
