Finalist Henri Vézina Fido Familiprix National Bank/Banque Nationale Historia HISTORIA Specialty channels have it hard enough to begin with, but Astral Media's Historia also had the problem of a 50+ audience. The new campaign had to significantly increase viewer share by appealing to a younger audience, and at the same time convince media planners to add Historia to their buy list. A single billboard execution spearheaded the campaign and proved to be as impactful as it was relevant: a "Rewind" button from a remote control on a white background with the network's logo and tag line at the bottom. TV spots developed the same idea. Each featured footage of events in contemporary history that had had a profound impact on our lives. The poignancy of seeing tragedies reversed had a dramatic impact that touched nerves and imaginations. The almost sci-fi perspective on history went directly to the hearts and minds of younger viewers, and Historia more than doubled its share in less than a year. Out Of Home Television
