Ford Motor Company of Canada: Mustang The challenge was to introduce the new Mustang to a younger and more female target audience, without alienating the core male target. The commercial is perhaps the first in the history of car advertising in which the vehicle actually "breaks down." Our heroine, however, isn't fazed by the flashing oil light - it's just a reminder to slap on a little sunblock. The spot showcases the car in all its glory, and gives credit to the target for getting the joke. |
