University of Toronto’s bachelor of arts degree faced the criticism that it doesn’t prepare graduates for today’s job market. But research has shown that students with BAs actually find better jobs more quickly than community college grads. TAXI created a campaign featuring graduates of U of T’s liberal arts programs - each one now president of a major corporation in a field completely unrelated to his or her course of study. The ads point out that, while these people may have studied philosophy or English, what they actually learned to do was think.
